Wide range of apprenticeship opportunities

Well-trained, highly qualified workers are the key to our company’s success. At Merck, training and professional advancement play a vitally important role. With apprentices numbering more than 400, Merck sets a high standard. There are apprenticeship opportunities for young persons with any type of school-leaving certificate, in a wide number of vocations ranging from chef to business administrator. For aspiring chemical workers we are able to provide much of the training within the Gernsheim site itself.

Our qualified chemical workers are specialists in the art of chemical production. They operate and monitor complex facilities, most of which run on a round-the-clock basis. Their specialties are as multi-faceted as Merck itself. Personal qualities we are looking for include an interest in science and technology, commitment, and a conscientious approach to work.

These take place on the first Thursday of each month (except in school holidays). Regular venue: West Gate of the Gernsheim Works, Mainzer Strasse 41 at 14:00 hrs, prior registration required.
